Weekly Theme:
Color Shape and Size

We have been working really hard on learning the classroom routines and
the rules for the class and the school. We have been eating lunch in the
cafeteria and learning good manners (these are also great to practice at
home too). This week our theme will be Color Shape and Size.  We will wear a
color of the day each day.  I emailed everyone the color schedule.  I will also
list the schedule below.  Note: Monday is Blue.

Oct. 6--White
Oct. 7--Brown
Oct. 8--Black
Oct. 11--NO SCHOOL
Oct. 12--Purple

Thank you so much for your support during our field trip to the Apple Orchard on
Monday.  The kids loved it!
PALS started this Tues. This a such a wonderful program. We have two high school
students who come to our class every 2-3 weeks and do activities and games with the
kids that promote positive self image and help build good relationships.  Our PALS are
Austin and Tyler (one girl and one boy :).  They are Seniors at Carroll Sr. High and we
are thrilled to have them work with us!  They are awesome!

*Each day your child will bring home a yellow folder.  In the folder will be
any notes, announcements, bulletins, daily work and an "Ask Me About My
Day" sheet.  This will help you know what is going on in our classroom and
in the school on a daily basis.
Please check and empty the folder everyday.

*Also girls, wear shorts under dresses.  We go to big gym on Tuesday and Fridays.  So
(boys and girls) wear tennis shoes on those days.

Be sure and order a yearbook if you would like one.  Please do not wait and
try to get one at the end of the year.  Some people tried to get one of the
extras and they sold out the first day.  We had some disappointed families.
Really, the best thing to do is order one now so you are assured of a copy.
You will be glad you did. :)

*If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email.  I try to check it often.  It is the
best way to contact me.

Please remember to check out the class
Wish List.  We are starting to need some cups.

For the CISD 2010-2011 School Calendar click here.

Please check out my website.
Don't forget to check out the class wish list for items we
need in the class.
I will be adding to it as the year goes on.  If you know of any great
sites for kids, please email me so I can add them to the list.
